      Kees, Adelbert N. "Casey"
      Adelbert "Casey" Nicholas Kees, 89, Menasha, passed away on May 7, 2008, at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha. He was born on July 29, 1918, in St. John, son of the late Michael and Theresa (Zepnick) Kees. Casey was united in marriage to Helen (Derfus) Kees on October 2, 1945; she preceded him in death on November 16, 1964. He then married Esther (Sheperski) Kees on November 25, 1971; she preceded him in death on April 5, 2006. Casey was a dairy farmer for nineteen years and he also worked in construction for JPR Contracting in Oshkosh until his retirement in 1991.
      Casey was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Sherwood for 25 years where he was the former president of the Holy Name Society and a Trustee for six years. Casey has been a member of St. John Catholic Church in Menasha for the past 37 years and enjoyed his duties as an usher, a cantor, and an avid choir member. He was a volunteer fireman for the Town of Harrison for twenty years, and also the former president of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association. Casey loved the time he spent with his family singing.
      He is survived by five children: Pamela (Robert) Parlocha, Peter (Mary) Kees, Stephen (Kathryn) Kees, Nicholas (Mary) Kees, Michele (John) Jansen; four step-children: John Suttner, Ronald (Merikay) Suttner, Jerome (Lynn) Suttner, Nancy (George) Birling; eight grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and five step-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Rita (Ray) Mueller, Sister Cecile Marie Kees, Sister Marie Kees, Sister Anacile Kees, Ruth Uitenbroek, Regina (Marvin) Brickner, Dorothy (Roland) Brandt, Martin (Mary Kay) Kees, Michael (Christine) Kees, Ann (Charles) Peters; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
      He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Alvera, Lillian and Hildegard Kees; three brothers: Herman, Joseph and Leonard Kees; two sisters-in-law: Marie Kees and Joyce Kees; two brothers-in-law: Claude Uitenbroek and Armon Zahn.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at St. John Catholic Church in Menasha, with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sherwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted.
