- Adala Rose Grissman, age 73, Eland, town of Elderon, died Tuesday, July 25, 1989 at her home.
She was born January 24, 1916 in the town of Elderon, the daughter of the late Mathias and Antonetta (VanDeHey) Spranger.
On June 24, 1936 Adala was united in marriage to Herman Grissman in Wittenberg. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Robert (Marcia) Grissman, Medford;two daughters, Nathalie (Darrell) Means, Tucson, AR and Betty (Richard) Fischer, Merrill, WI; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren;two brothers, Lyman (Grace) Spranger, Elderon and Herbert (Martha) Spranger, Hatley; and two sisters, Lillian VanWettering, Melrose Park, IL and Verna Lukasko, town of Elderon.
Adala was preceded in death by one infant son, Herman, Jr. and four brothers, Lester, Raymond, Orville and Norman Spranger.
Funeral services were held July 28, 1989 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Claude Zabinski, OFM officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
