    • The Honorable Richard H. Timmers, aged 72, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Blanche Timmers, and his brother Bill Timmers. Surviving are his wife of 30 years Leora, sons David (Carol) Grant, Steven (Jennifer) Timmers, David (Wanda) Timmers, daughter Susan (Jason) Wood, grandchildren, Alexandra Timmers, Heather Grant, Adam Timmers, Brandon Skeel, Grace Timmers, Henry Wood, great-grandchildren Jaxson and David, brothers Joseph Timmers, Tom (Ginny) Timmers, sister Carol (Pat) Pflieger and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard spent 13 years working as an attorney throughout the area, and served 22 years as a Kent County Court District Judge. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, golf, and spending time with family and friends when we weren't driving him crazy! He will be remembered for his generosity, and his kind, thoughtful, and witty personality. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
