    • Elsie M. Timmers, 90, passed on Friday morning, April 30, 2004 at a local nursing home. Elsie was born March 30, 1914, in Maple Grove, Wis., a daughter to Allen and Effie Begotka. She married Claude M. Timmers in Menominee, Mich., on Oct. 24, 1934, and was married for 49 beautiful years.

To her, the most important role was being a loving wife and mother to four children. She was always dedicated to her vegetable garden and her flower beds were a sight to behold. Elsie instilled in her children and grandchildren a love of nature and animals.

Through a lot of illness, she showed she was a very strong-willed person that could handle more than her share.
