- De Pere - Janice V. Arndt, 86 years young, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday morning April 17, 2018. She was born January 20, 1932 to the late Lyle and Naomi (Vandenberg) Lemerond. On July 7, 1962 she married Clayton Arndt at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. Janice worked for the City of De Pere for 19 years serving as the Executive Secretary to the Mayor, City Administrator and City Attorney. She volunteered at Syble Hopp and Christian Outreach. Janice enjoyed attending her grandson's baseball games, watching her granddaughter and grandson participate in Special Olympics and play Miracle League baseball. Janice also enjoyed reading, long walks, watching the Packers, and Brewers, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Steve (Joy) Arndt, Julie (Jeff) Geurts, Beth (Steve) Rottier, and Annette (Chris) Eastman. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Courtney (Fiancé Chris Rohr) Arndt, Brandin Arndt, Collin Arndt, Jacob Geurts, Emily Geurts, Michael Rottier, and DJ Eastman. She is also survived by her brothers; James Lemerond and Ron (Diane) Lemerond.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton, sisters- in- laws; Ann Lemerond, Delores (Joe) Werchek, June (Milton) Besanson, bother- in- law John (Marian) Hoefeldt, and her mother -in-law and father-in-law Louis and Mathilda Arndt.
Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere after 4:00PM Thursday April 19, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00PM with Fr. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
