- Edward A. Orth, 76 of 1415 S. 37th St., Manitowoc, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Orth was born September 8, 1885, in the town of Gibson, son of the late Matthias and Mary Engeldinger Orth. He married the former Minnie Lindenau June 9, 1908, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death Oct. 22, 1918. He resided in Two Rivers until 1919 when he moved to Manitowoc where he married the former Elizabeth M. Kaiser at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, May 4, 1920. Prior to his retirement in 1946 he was a painter. Mr. Orth was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Boniface.
Survivors include his wife, nine sons, Norman of Kiel, Walter of Brillion, Ralph of New Holstein, Clifford of Two Rivers and George, Herbert, Francis, John and Conrad of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Trig Aarhus of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Clarence Seidl and Mrs. Paul Skarvan of Francis Creek; three sisters, Mrs. Conrad Netzhammer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charles Guenzel of Shawano and Mrs. John Mosuch of Two Rivers; 30 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Seven children also preceded him in death.
