- Beulah "Bea" A. Vanden Hogen, Kimberly, age 85, died at her home Friday September 19, 2014. She was born in Little Chute on September 28, 1928 to the late Joseph and Hattie (De Bruin) Jansen. Beulah married Martin Vanden Hogen at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on September 6, 1958. Beulah enjoyed taking care of her yard, playing cards, building puzzles, knitting and trips to the casino. She loved to fish.
Bea is survived by her husband of 56 years, Martin; children: Jeff (Sue) of Hilbert and Lori Sontag of Appleton; grandchildren: Alicia (Tyler) Schumacher, Carissa and Nathan Vanden Hogen, Cotey and Austin Carter, and Noah Sontag; great grandchildren: Ethan, Carson and Adriana Schumacher; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Claire, Betty and Alice Jansen, Mary (Ralph) Braun, Ann Mc Kitrick, Frances Auden, Bernie (Florence) Vanden Hogen, Pat Kunstman, Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen and Rose (Jerry) Verhagen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Thyssen, Jr.; brothers: Stan (Marcella), Rollie, Melvin, Lloyd "Dusty" (Mavis), David "Butch" and Eugene "Whitie" Jansen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: George, Little Marty and Joseph Vanden Hogen, Catherine (Jack) Vervoort, Terry (Barney) Managan, Miles McKitrick, Wilma (Richard) Killian, Norb Auden and Jerry Kunstman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday September 24, 2014 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - KIMBERLY CHURCH (600 E. Kimberly Avenue) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr.
