    • Donald J. Wilquet, 63, of Luxemburg passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017. Donald was born on February 23, 1953 to the late William and Eunice (Rasmussen) Wilquet of Tonet. He graduated from L-C High with the class of 1971. Donald ran the family farm he grew up on while also working part time for Rita's family roofing business. In 1996 he sold the cattle after being mulled by the bull, and eventually took over the roofing business.

Donald married Rita Dorner on September 6, 1980 at the National Shrine of Mary chapel in Champion. They have two sons, Joseph (friend Jenn) and James, one sister (Mary), a sister-in-law (Marie Wilquet Hurley), a niece Laura (Ross) Jasmer, mother-in-law (Anna Mae Dorner), Rita's family: Jean & Paul Cherovsky, Paul & Sandie Dorner, Doris & Ron Buyarski, Dennis & Lynn Dorner, Carl & Jo Ann Dorner, Ken & Linda Dorner, Peter & Connie Dorner, Glen & Shelley Dorner, many nieces & nephews, godchildren Janelle Wilquet and Sadie Alsteen Mercier, and also the Rasmussen cousins who were like brothers and sisters to Donald all his life.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother (John), and father in law (Roman Dorner).

Donald will be shown at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM with Fr. Milton Suess officiating. Burial will follow mass at the Tonet cemetery. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Homes is assisting the family. Online condolence messages may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com.

We want to thank the rescue team, Al Tlachac and especially our good neighbor Lee Cornette for coming immediately to work so hard trying to revive Donald the final hour.
