Peebles, George T. George T. Peebles, of Kaukauna, age 59, died peacefully in his sleep, Thursday July 13, 2006 at home. He was born January 3, 1947, to H. George and Shirley (Diette) Peebles in Fond du Lac. George graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1965 and in the same year enlisted into the U.S. Navy. He served his Country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1969. George married Nancie Haen in 1971. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting, was an excellent cook and an A1 canner. George was a great father and wonderful brother. He had MANY close friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his four sons: Dylan Thomas, David George, George Elliott and Daniel Lee and their loving mother Nancie. He is also survived by his father, H. George Peebles; his nine brothers and sisters: Jim (Marge) Peebles, Jo Ann (Ken) Brey, Mary (Denny) Schuh, Barb (Marty) Van Zeeland, Jeanne (Gerry) Hopkins, Bob (Tina) Peebles, Steve (special friend Pam Behling) Peebles, Terry (Jane) Peebles and Lisa (Jim) Sawlsville; and his many treasured nieces and nephews and a multitude of close cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, his uncles: David, Sherman, Joe, his aunts: Mary, Cele, Betty, and many cousins.
George's memorial service will be 7 p.m. on Sunday July 16, 2006 at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 2401 Fieldcrest Drive Kaukauna. Friends will be received on Sunday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Full Military Burial Rites will follow the service. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 766-2099.
