- Jane H. Renkens, 87, of De Pere passed away peacefully on Sunday morning February 7, 2010. She was born July 16, 1922 daughter of the late Roland and Mary (Vande Hei) Turriff. She had attended the Green Bay Normal School, which is now NWTC. Jane had also worked at Baums Department Store. Jane married Peter Renkens on November 25, 1948. She was very active and loved to volunteer. She belonged to the Catholic Womens Club, and volunteered at such places as American Cancer Society, Mobile Meals, and was a Scout leader. Jane was also a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family. Jane enjoyed spending time at her cottage on the bay. She is survived by her children; Rick (Darcy) Renkens, Tom (Bonnie) Renkens, Bob (Mary) Renkens, and Lori (Patrick) VanVonderen. Jane is further survived by her grandchildren; Peter (Kristyn), Sarah (Michael), Jason, Michael (Stacy), Wendi (Joe), Jenny, Doug (Bliss), Kathy (Abe), Tim, Kyle, Brian, and Kelsey. Her graet grandchildren also survive; Katie, Hannah, Reece, Addison, Reagan, McKenzie, Brianna, and Ethan. Jane's brother and two sister inlaws also survive; Donald (Zeta), and Geri. Peter's family also survive; Dolores (Stan).
She was preceded in death by her husband Peter, her daughter in law Colleen and members of her family; Ramsdale, Ezier (Florence), Tom (Bertha), Lucille (Bob), and Marie. Members of Peter's family have also preceded her in death; George (Marie), Marie (Hollis), Jack (Leona), and Leo "Red" (Dolly).
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 4 8pm Wednesday, with parish prayers at 7pm. Visitation will continue after 9:30am Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating, and Fr. James Neilson O.Praem serving as homilist. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
