    • Felix A. Ostrenga, 97, Glenmore, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2013, at a local nursing home. He was born November 10, 1915, to the late Adam and Anna (Piechota) Ostrenga in the Town of Eaton. He married Lucille Kaiver on July 20, 1940, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pine Grove. They shared 65 years together until she preceded him in death in 2006. They farmed in the Town of Glenmore and later moved to Denmark.

      Felix was the happiest working hard on the farm and loved to garden. He enjoyed listening to polka music and was known for having a sweet tooth.

      Survivors include two sons, James (Christine Englbert) Ostrenga, Myron (Gloria) Ostrenga; five grandchildren, Jodi (special friend, Perry) Hendrickson, Jessica (Robert) Ahnen, Jaimee (fiancé, Chad) Ostrenga, Sandy (Kevin) Tschetter, Brian Ostrenga; four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Trevor Hendrickson, Kyla and Mason Tschetter; three step- grandchildren; seven great- step-grandchildren; a sister, Regina Gloral; sister-in-law, Helen Brittnacher; special nephew, Norman (Shirley) Ostrenga; special friends, Mary and Jerry Lorberblatt; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by wife, Lucille; five brothers; six sisters; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

      Friends and family may call on Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenmore, 8532 Big Apple Rd, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with Rev. David Koch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

      The family would like to express sincere thank you to the staff of the Ledgeview Nursing Home for the many years of excellent care given to Felix, to Unity Hospice for the last few months, and to Dr. Wozney for his visits and care given to Felix.
