    • Elaine M. Blohowiak, 87, De Pere resident, passed away peacefully at Birch Creek Assisted Living on Friday, September 3, 2015 with family by her side. She was born May 1, 1928, to the late George and Thanna (White) Van Boxel. On July 24, 1948, she married Kenneth Blohowiak. In her spare time, Elaine enjoyed watching the birds and making regular trips to the casino. Ken and Elaine owned and operated E's bar in the town of Eaton. In her later years, Elaine became a regular usher at St. Willebrord Catholic Church.

      Elaine is survived by her two sisters, Ione Piontek and Joann (Dave) Minten; sisters-in-law Mary Van Boxel and Shirley (Roy) Sengbusch; along with many nieces and nephews.

      She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth; siblings Lucille (Bob) Burgoyne, Al (Jeanne) Van Boxel, Don (Phyllis) Van Boxel, Betty (Chester) Cieslewicz, Dick Van Boxel, and George (Donna) Van Boxel; and one brothers-in-law Frank Piontek, and Cyril (Florence) Blohowiak.

      Friends may call at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams Street, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. The Funeral Mass will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Rev. Jack MacCarthy, O. Praem will preside. Burial will be in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in the town of Eaton.
