Morris Ringrose Dies In Tacoma
Funeral services for Morris Ringrose, 66, a Brown County pioneer who died Wednesday at his home in Tacoma, Wash., will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. P.T. Monaghan officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Ringrose was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ringrose, who built the original Sherman House now the Sherman Hotel. Mr. Ringrose was born in the old hotel on Sept. 22, 1885. He was graduated from Aberdeen High School and St. Thomas Military Academy. He married Elizabeth Schmidt of Onida. Mr. Ringrose was a charter member of the Brown County Territorial Pioneers.
Survivors besides his wife are two sons, Phillip M. Ringrose and James Ringrose, both of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Harry Hart, Aberdeen; and four cousins, Frank McHugh, Edward C. Jackson, Mrs. Don De Vey, and Mrs. Genevieve Leaper, all of Aberdeen
Rosary will be said at the Johnson Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Monday.
W.H. Wilson is in charge of arrangements.
