Age 75, died April 13, 1986 after a battle with leukemia. Loving husband, father, and grandfather, was born March 12, 1911, son of Otto and Emma (Mantie) Grimm. He retired from the Little Chute School System in 1975. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kaukauna; the Jacob Coppus Post 258, American Legion. He was a charter member of the Wisconsin Bowhunters, Past President and life member of Wisconsin Archers Association, a member of Little Chute Golden Agers. He had served with General Patton during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Della (VanHandel) Grimm, who he married in 1936; a son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Patricia Grimm, Petersboro, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Mrs. Louis (Viola) Verkuilen, Kaukauna, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law: Mrs. Carl Grimm, Marietta, Ohio; two grandchildren: Eric and Erin Grimm; a special niece and nephew: Lynn and Tom Landers, Little Chute; and many caring in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Walter Grimm and Rev. Carl Grimm. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from Immanuel United Church of Christ, 510 Sullivan Ave., Kaukauna, with the Rev. Harvey Kandler officiating. Interment will be in Saint John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. There will be an American Legion Visitation at 7 p.m. Tuesday. American Legion rites will follow the service at the church. A memorial fund has been established.
