- Rosemary E. Mulry, age 60, 306 W. Lincoln Ave., Little Chute, passed away at home Sunday, July, 21, 1996, following a two month battle with cancer.
Rosemary, lovingly known to all family members and friends as "Butch" was born August 5, 1935, to the late Henry and Matilda (Van Vreede) Biese in Kaukauna.
She graduated in 1954 from Kaukauna High School where she was very active in sports. On August 4, 1955, Butch married John "Jack" Mulry at Holy Cross
Church in Kaukauna. They celebrated 31 years of marriage before Jack's death on February 5, 1987.
Butch was employed at King's Variety Stores in little Chute for 25 years before her retirement in 1994. During that time she was a respected and valued employee who made and treasured many friendships with her owners and co-workers and brought many smiles to the customers she served over the years. During her leisure time, Butch spent many hours with her loving family, especially her grandchildren who she cherished and loved. Her golf partner, Jody Coenen, spent many Thursdays on the golf course with Butch, and additional time was spent with her loyal dog
companion, Keeno.
After her marriage, Butch became a faithful member of St John Catholic Church in Little Chute, a member of Countryside Golf Course where she was an avid golfer, a member of the Sl. Elizabeth Society and the Little Chute American Legion Auxiliary Post 258.
Left greatly saddened by Butch's passing will be her six children and their spouses: Gary & Leann Mulry, Appleton, Bob & Deb Mulry, Howard-Suamico,
Jackie & Ron Van Handel, Darboy, Sue & Al Schaefer, Kimberly, Patty & Dan Beining, DePere and Tom & Becky Mulry, Little Chute. Lovingly known as
Grandma Butchie, she will be deeply missed by her 14 grandchildren: Jamie & Justin Mulry, Kristen & Kimberly Mulry, Jeremy, Jonathan, Jordan & Ashley Van Handel, Christopher & Taylor Schaefer, Chelsea, Nicholas & Cassandra Beining, and Joshua Ulrichsen.
Butch is further survived by her brothers and sisters: Melvin (Dort) Biese, Kimberly, Bob (Gret) Biese, Combined Locks, Beatrice Van Epern, Kaukauna and
Grace (Buzz) Garvey, Freedom. She is also survived by Jack's family: Alice (Bob) Brandl, Racine, Leone (Jack) Weber, Appleton, Karen Laurin, Montello, Dick (Cil) Mulry, Combined Locks, Jim (Karen) Mulry, Little Chute, Dan (Laura) Mulry, Little Chute, Don (Betty) Mulry, Sparta, Barb (Dick) Deeg, Menasha, and Jerry Thomson, Appleton. Additionally, Butch had four Godchildren: Colleen Blanding, Connie Vosters, Tracey Deeg and Jonathan Van Handel. She leaves many fond memories with close friends Tom & Judy Berg, Jack & Judy Coenen and Donna & Whitey
Nettekoven. Butch will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Jack, Buich was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Therese & Eugene Van Duerzen; Jack's parents, Basil
& Vera Mulry; Jack's sister, Mary Jane Thomson; and Jack's infant brother, Tom Mulry.
