    • Kathleen R. Biese, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. She was born on February 18, 1937 in Wrightstown, WI; a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Van Asten) Biese. Kathy worked at Zwickers Knitting Mills of Appleton for over 35 years and later retired from Appleton Medical Center in 1999. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton.

      Kathy is survived by her brother Donald; sister, Jane McCormick; sister in-law, Rose Biese; brother in-law, Joe Vande Corput; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was further preceded in death by her three brothers: Elzer, Robert and Marvin; sister, LaVerne; a brother-in-law, Robert McCormick; and two sisters in-law: Rita and Lillian Biese.

      Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy will be 10:00 AM on Friday July 12, 2019 at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton with Fr. William Hoffman officiating. Kathy’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 until 9:45 AM, with Mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.

      Kathy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Renaissance Assisted Living, Asera Care Hospice and Home Instead, for all the excellent care and compassion. And to Dr. Craig Hendel for all of his care over the years.
