Verhagen, Robert "Bernie"
Robert Arthur Verhagen, 82, Green Bay, died Thursday evening, Nov. 27, 2008, at a local nursing home.
Born in Green Bay, on Sept. 22, 1926, he is the son of the late Arthur and Ida (VanderLinden) Verhagen.
Bernie had the gift of bringing joy to others. He would blow kisses to everyone, especially his caregivers. Bernie loved his Packers and joyfully celebrated Christmas every year.
He is survived by two cousins, Arletta LeFevre, Waukesha; and Carlton Lewis, Green Bay; one sister; his special caregivers and guardians over the years, especially Linda Zellner and Betty Meindl who was Bernie's constant companion and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives including his visiting cousins, Eunice Brozek and Lorraine Gerrits.
