      Carter, Leroy E.
      Leroy E. Carter, King, Wisconsin, age 74, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born April 10, 1933, in the Town of Ottawa, Waukesha Co., WI; son of Herman and Catherine (Dresang) Carter. Leroy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from August 24, 1951 - August 19, 1955.

      Leroy is survived by children: Lee (Gayle) Carter, New London, WI; Thomas (Margie) Carter, West Allis, WI; Roxanne (Donald) Van Dinter, Menasha, WI; Linda Ebbens, Appleton, WI; Mark (Debbie) Carter, Milwaukee, WI; brother, Jerry Carter, Carthage, MO; sisters: Audrey (Adrian) Mader, Sherwood, WI; Arlene (Charles) Kadrich, Columbus, WI; Catherine (Arnie) Kelnhofer, Kaukauna, WI. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joyce Carter; second wife, Maxine Carter; and an infant brother.

      A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Sister Cathy Wottreng will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King following the services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Leroy Carter. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
