    • Dorothy Grapentin, 84, Little Chute, died peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010. She was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Little Chute, daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Vandenburgt) Wyngaard. Dorothy married Richard Grapentin May 1, 1948, and he preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1992.

      Mrs. Grapentin was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. She was past president and a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Auxilliary. She was also a member of Women's Life. Dorothy enjoyed card playing, Bingo, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint.

      Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert (Mary Lou) Grapentin, Appleton; Dennis (Mary) Grapentin, Conover; Kathy Grapentin and Terry Siebers, Appleton; Joan (Clem) Van Zeeland, New Tazewell, Tenn.; Amy Sue Huss, Little Chute; grandchildren, Laura (Jason) Kauth, Sarah Gillespie, Dallas (Windy) Gillespie, Michael (Shanna) Grapentin, Tammy Gillespie, Molly (Ed) Condit, Shawna Grapentin, Joel Hennig, Zach Grapentin, Jennifer (D.J.) Bayhan, Angeleen Van Zeeland; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Martha Evers, Little Chute; Ruth Huss, Kaukauna; Richard (Marilyn) Wyngaard, Little Chute; Robert (Florence) Wyngaard, Kimberly; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wilma Mae Vander Loop, Kaukauna; Donald (Dorothy) Grapentin, Mercer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law.

      Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Raphael Chiaka officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass.

      In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Affinity Hospice.

      Dorothy's family wishes to thank Affinity Hospice and Laura Behnke for their loving care and compassion.
