Age 71, passed away Tuesday at 8:40 at his home after a short illness. He was born April 4, 1897 in the Town of Vandenbroek. He farmed at Rt. 1, Kaukauna, until his retirement in 1958 and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. The Holy Name Society, The Catholic Order of Foresters Court No. 450, an army veteran of world war one and a member of the executive board of the American Legion Post 258, a past president of Little Chute Golden Agers, an associate of Mutual Service Life and Casualty Insurance for 20 years. He had an agency for Hartland, Cicero Mutual Insurance Company of Seymour, Calumet Mutual Insurance Company of New Holstein. Survivors include his wife Martha; five daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Grace) Waller and Mrs. Ronald (Marcia) Siebers, both of Appleton; Sister Cyril Marie (Dorothy), Merrill; Mrs. LeRoy (Betty) Bast, Kimberly; Mrs. Peter (Joyce) Mischler, Kaukauna; seven sons, Ivo, San Pablo, California; Donald, Stockbridge; Gerald A and Leroy, Kaukauna; James, Appleton; John E. Kimberly; Kenneth, Jacksonville, Florida; four brothers, Henry, Arnold and Martin, Little Chute; Albert, Landcaster, California; one sister, Mrs. John (Hattie) Schmidt, Kaukauna, and 51 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from St. John Catholic church, Little Chute. Interment in the parish cemetery where miliatary services will be held.
