    • Bernard E. Benzschawel Bernard E. Benzschawel, 92, formerly of N 26th Street and Harmony House passed away Thursday morning, March 15, 2007 at the Sheboygan Progressive Care Center. Born December 4, 1914 in Clarks Mills, Manitowoc County, Bernard was a son of the late Matt and Rose Anhalt Benzschawel. He attended area grade schools. On November 26, 1935, he was united in marriage to Lenora Pritzl at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brillion, WI. The couple celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in November. Bernie worked for the Kohler Company for many years. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and a 50 year member of the Catholic Knights. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and enjoying nature and animals. He is survived by his wife, Lenora; his children, Arthur and Nancy, Madison, Allan and Diane, DePere, Roger and Laura, Sheboygan Falls, Mary Wolf and Art Kray, Largo, FL, Jerry and Bonnie, Sheboygan, and Sharon Schwartz, Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, a sister, and two sons-in-law, Clairmont Wolf and Wayne Schwartz. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernard will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. Father John Radetski, pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church , will celebrate the Mass. Interment will take place in Siemers Cemetery in Howards Grove. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of Mass. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
