    • Oshkosh - Elizabeth (Betts) Lally Williamson, 88, died peacefully on February 26, 2019, after a long battle with dementia. The daughter of the late Lenore (Woelz) and Raymond Lally, Betts was born March 26, 1930, in Appleton, Wisconsin. She attended Appleton High School and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

On June 2, 1951, Betts married James Williamson, and they shared 65 wonderful years together, before he passed away on April 14, 2016. Betts was an amazing mother to Jim (Suzanne), Joe (Cheryl), and Anne (Pat) McKenzie. Her 12 grandchildren, their spouses, and her 19 great-grandchildren adored her. Always the life of the party, Betts was the ultimate hostess and sought-after guest. She was generous with her time and attention and never missed an opportunity to pay a compliment or offer encouragement. She had eyes that always saw the good in others and a heart full of gratitude for the blessings in her life. We will miss the twinkle in her eye, her easy laugh, and her fun-loving spirit.

In addition to her parents, inlaws (Agnes and Clem Williamson), and husband, Betts was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob and Jack, sisters, Ann and Mary Ellen, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary and John Hansen. She is further survived by her sister Margaret and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11 am at St. Raphael's Catholic Church at 830 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Father Tom Long will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Private committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

We would like to express special thanks to the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community for their compassionate and loving care.

In Lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Evergreen Retirement Community.
