    • Theodore W. Haase, Sr., 89 of Seymour, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, and joined his loving wife who passed away November 17, 2016. He was born March 2, 1927, son of the late Fred and Mayme (Van Groll) Haase. On August 25, 1951, he was united in marriage to Arvilla Roskom.

      Ted was a Korean Army Veteran and a member of Seymour American Legion.

      Ted was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. He and his brothers owned North Osborn Cheese Co. until his retirement. He served on the Seymour City Council, Alderman and past director of Valley Bank. Ted was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting, fishing and golfing.

      He is survived by his children: Ted (Chris) Haase, Appleton; Cynthia (Tom) Fitchett, Houston; John (Kathy) Haase, Memphis; grandchildren: Nate (Jenna) Haase, Lexie (Jed) Roffers, Lyssa Haase, Cayley Haase, Jessica (Carlos) Garcia, Christopher (Candice) Fitchett, Blake, Brittany, Heather and Hunter Haase; great-grandchildren: Hayden, Colton, Travis, Vander, Chael, Dylan, Savannah, Madeyln, Taylor, Isabelle, Avery and Kennedy; brothers: Don "Pete" (Fran) Haase, Green Bay; Fred "Fritz" (Nancy) Haase, Seymour; sister-in-law, Rita Haase, Green Bay.

      Preceded in death by brothers: Howard (Velma) Haase, Joe (Jane) Haase and Clarence Haase; and one sister, Rosemary "Haase" Frost.

      Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Brian Belongia officiating.

      In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour.
