Mary Van Den Bosch
Kaukauna
Formerly of Appleton, age 95, died Monday, September 26, 1988 at Riverview Health Care Center. She was born January 31, 1893 in Kaukauna. She had been a treasurer for the City of Kaukauna from 1931 to 1941. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the Ladies of Holy Cross, also member of the National Society of Ladies Foresters.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in-law, Bernadette Joyce; Margaret Coleman; Milton Schmitt, all of Kaukauna; a stepdaughter, Sister Martinice of Racine; a brother and two sisters in-law, Bernard and Marie Schlude, Martha Schulde, all of Kaukauna; 16 grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Hooyman; her second husband, Martin Van Den Bosch; a daughter, Rosemary Schmitt; a stepdaughter, Harriet Van Rhyn; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Elizabeth.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 1988 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established for the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
